The Internet is rife with websites that cater especially to the ferret fan. Here are some of my favorites:
- Amazing Ferret Secrets - Has a free newsletter and a valuable guide containing, among other things, a guide to building your own ferret house and a recipe book of food you can prepare for your ferrets.
- Ferrets For Dummies - Comprehensive, informative guide to ferrets and their care.
- The Simple Guide To Ferrets - Good book which touches on all things ferret.
- The Ferret Store - Great place to go for all of your fuzzy's needs. They offer cages, toys, litter pans, and other accessories. The website also offers a live chat Monday through Friday which allows you to connect immediately to their in-house ferret expert.
- The American Ferret Association - This organization is dedicated to promoting the domestic ferret as a companion animal. They offer a variety of services from educational programs to breeder and shelter referrals. They also provide local veterinary referrals.
- American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) - Non-profit organization devoted to animal welfare. Website contains a great deal of information on pet care, emergency preparedness, and other helpful tips.
- The Humane Society of the United States - This organization promotes the protection of all animals through education, legislation, disaster assistance, and other campaigns. Their website is loaded with information on the basics of ferret care, as well as other helpful tips.
